Keith Segerson, CEO - Innovation/Entrepreneurship, FDI & Lead Generation

After more than 35 years working in global corporations and higher education, Keith founded P3 Innovation Strategies. Bringing his expertise in information technology, global economic development, business, entrepreneurship, innovation ecosystems, and public-private partnerships, Keith and his senior leadership team and global partners are well positioned to provide exceptional client consulting services for small and medium enterprises, large corporations, municipalities and government agencies, as well as all levels of academia. 


Keith's work in global business and economic development extends from Europe to Asia to North America. With a special focus on internationalization and innovation consulting, Keith has worked with large corporations, SME's, local, state and provincial governments to build sustainable regional economies.  Additional expertise is centered around the support of global joint ventures, "soft-landing" programs, lead generation, market representation, and foreign direct investment (FDI) initiatives.


Prior to founding P3 Innovation Strategies, Keith served most recently as AVP for Research & Economic Development and before that as Executive Director of University Computing and Information Systems at George Mason University (USA). His work provided him with a keen global perspective, an eye toward innovation, and an expertise in IT, investment and trade, and business. 

John Giambalvo, J.D. - Administration & Consulting

John brings to P3 Innovation Strategies a broad range of leadership and organizational skills.  He has led pre-revenue startups and $100 million corporations.  He has worked with founders, and boards, in all aspects of strategic planning, budgeting, corporate structure, strategic partnerships, and potential investment and funding sources.  His experience extends to all corporate matters, including operations, finance, HR, legal, IT, and political.  He has worked with private sector companies, public sector agencies, and those hybrid organizations that are of particular focus for P3 – public-private partnerships.

John also has comprehensive experience – from both business and legal perspectives – structuring and consummating corporate financial transactions, ranging from straightforward domestic transactions to complex international transactions.  He has represented both investors and companies in venture capital transactions and both purchasers and targets in mergers and acquisitions.


John has worked in Europe, the former Soviet Republic, the Middle East, and Southwest Asia.  He has a B.S. in Business Administration (Finance) from the University at Albany, a Master of Public Policy & J.D. (law) degree from Duke University.

Gary Evans, PhD - Research & Analytics

Gary Evans’ career has been focused on the development and commercialization of new technologies throughout Europe, the US, the GCC countries of the Middle East, and Africa.  He has been involved in founding more than 15 companies and has created and run investment funds in a variety of forms both public and private sector. 

He has worked with many public sector organizations to help develop and implement strategies for innovation and entrepreneurship, and has been responsible for creating and managing a number of incubation programs, research parks, and associated initiatives. 


Dr. Evans' technical expertise includes software, instrumentation, and chemistry and he has undertaken work with companies in a range of industries from oil and gas to medical devices.  He has a strong interest in data science and is highly experienced in analyzing large data sets including economic data.


He currently leads consulting and program management projects primarily for public sector clients, and serves as a mentor for several accelerator programs and as an adviser for a number of early stage companies.  Dr. Evans has also held a number of academic research and teaching positions within higher education and has been a visiting professor in two graduate business schools.

Allen (Hua) Yu, Master of Law - China & East Asia Markets

Overseeing business development in our China and East Asian markets, Allen brings a key perspective to our clients.  He has over 20 years of experience in senior executive positions promoting and developing international trade and investment in both private sector and government sponsored consortia.

Allen's professional experience includes his work as Deputy Director General, China Investment Promotion Agency, Consul - Consulate General of China in Los Angeles and Embassy of China work in Sudan.  He has successfully promoted and coordinated business development projects in more than 100 countries and facilitated the successful attraction of Foreign Direct Investment (FDI).  Allen has also led many senior-level government and trade delegations to global destinations. 


Allen received both Bachelor and Master of Law degrees from the prestigious China University of Political Science and Law (CUPL) in Beijing, China. Mr. Yu is fluent in English and Chinese.
